More Than a Fan

I saw this on Tide’s Facebook ticker last week. I think it hits a core concern many consumers have: Does the company care about me?

John Maxwell’s books often explain “People don’t care what you know until they know how much you care.”

Now, it will take more than a simple Facebook post to sway the masses to believe Tide has their best interests at heart. As a populace we’ve become very desensitized and suspicious of these sort of statements. Too many advertisers make this claim, cash in on a short rush of sales and then drop the ball big time.

But if they were to really follow through and do things that proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that they really do care (something that will cost a lot more than a fancy graphic) then, THEN, they have some really good marketing.
