Re-Purpose Your Content

Providing the sort of content-rich experience our customers and prospects want to see can seem like a daunting task, even for the most prolific writers.

However, it doesn’t have to be. In fact, a lot of content can be re-purposed in several locations, often tripling your impact with a single concept. Here’s how it might work:

  • Write an article for a local paper or a Ezine (or other type) website.
  • Shorten the concept and distill it into a blog post.
  • Record a video or podcast talking about the concept.
  • Post Facebook and/or twitter quotes from the blog, article or podcast with links to the full piece.

There, with a single topic you’ve created 3-4 pieces of rich content that different audiences will see and enjoy.  If you create 5 articles, and used this technique, in a month you would have well over 15 or 20 active relevant pieces of content.

Keep that going for a year and you could have over 180 pieces of content! Do you think you could compile that and turn it into a white paper or e-book? There’s more double duty!

This is true SEO at it’s best and all for writing only 5 topics a month!

Word of caution: Do not post the exact same content in two or more places. Word for word reposting will ding your SEO, not help it.
