There will be days you don’t want to do the hard constant work of creating and following through on a marketing plan. There will be days we’re tempted to take the easy way out, make an excuse or give less than 100%. There will days where we argue and fight like dogs with our team. There will be days when we’re so enamored with ‘the next big shiny thing’ that we consider deviating from our slow and steady effort.
Our culture, as Dave Ramsey puts it, is very much a ‘microwave’ culture. We want it and we want it now, with minimum effort. But that isn’t the way lasting results happen. Don’t fall in to the trap of the new, the fast, the cheap and the easy.
Sure, sometimes marketing can be all of those things, but when you’ve taken the time to plot out your marketing audience, the plan for the year and the needed tools for that effort don’t change mid-job!
Remember that consistency, as much as anything else, is a powerful technique. It’s not always the easiest, or the most fun or exciting, but it will pay off.
