  • Don’t wait until the last minute to find out your booth size.
  • Don’t design backdrops that have information on the first 4 feet from the ground. You’re going to be the in the way, even if you sit.
  • Don’t overcrowd your table with tons of booklets. Make sure you have a focus!
  • Don’t disengage from the crowd (playing with your iphone or laptop) people will avoid your booth/table.
  • Don’t ignore your fellow booth buddies. It’s amazing how often you’ll make long lasting friendships.

Tradeshow Dos

  • Donate something for a door prize to drive traffic to your booth
  • Include something interactive like a riddle, quiz, game, etc.
  • Include something that moves or flashes.
  • Make a list of things you need and use it as a check list when packing.
  • Develop some giveaways (Could be a cheap printout or a nice pen or candy or samples, etc)
  • Decide what the ultimate purpose of attending is for you. Focus on that.
  • Make friends with everyone, even if they’re not a prospect. They may know someone who is!
  • Have some easy way to get prospect’s information. (Common solution is to have a drawing for people who put a business card into a fishbowl)
  • Bring a tablecloth.
